What do you think would give more of a hp increase the Shaker hood or the Cold air intake. i wasnt sure wether or not to spend the extra money on the hood if the performance wasnt much better. Both of these applications would be for a V6 Mustang
It's probably a toss up. If you are looking for best performance for the buck, go with the cold air. If you want performance and looks, go with the shaker.
You can modify it to run both....but it will take some custom work. You will probably get more performance out of a CAI....but the shaker sure does look good. We like ours.....

Did you have to cut your hood to use the shaker system or did it come with the hood. All the pics I can find from the aftermarket sites just show the scoop and all the plumbing. Just curious.
