CEL on after EGR removal

I removed my egr and started the car. I let it idle for 30 min. No check engine light. I turned off the EGR switch with my Predator and drove for 10 to 15 minutes. No check engine light at that time either. I shut the car off for 5 min. and restarted it and the CEL immediately came on and was still on this morning on the way to work. I won't be able to pull the code until I get home, but I was just wondering if there was something else I needed to change with the predator that will stop the CEL

EGT_TYPE variable needs to be set to 2, I'm not sure how the predator shows it. The code may be something else though, possibly a vacuum leak if the gasket didn't seal good.

I may have forgotten to tighten the bolts all the way on the block off plate. That may be it. Of course I'll know for sure what the code is when I get home.
