CEL problem

My CEL comes on after driving about 5 minutes. But OBD1 scanner provides no codes KOEO. Could it be bad PCM or sensor?

Try another scanner just in case? Year/model etc would help as well. You say obd1 but 96-04 are all obdII.

Procedure on these is a little different. You need to run the codes with the engine off, and then start the engine and run them with the engine running. It's likely you have KOER codes, and not necessarily KOEO or CM codes.

You do not use the OBD-2 port under the steering wheel. The connections are in the same spot as a 86-93 car. Behind the driver side strut tower and in front and down of the wiper motor.

Ah yes, great thing to point out.

94-95 V6 cars were OBD2 and had the port. Doesn't work on the V8 cars. The port is there, but does nothing. It's EECIV/OBD1 under the hood.
