Cellular phone interface

The makers of the Mach CD-6 "radio" note on their website that it includes a cellular phone interface.

I assume this might have to do something with the extra phone icon on the mute button.

However, I can't find any detailed info on it, anywhere, including at Ford's or Evisteon's websites.

Does anyone know anything about it? Is there actually a hands free, or speaker phone, adapter for cell phones that can be plugged into the Mach CD-6 unit?

I just thought it was a mute button, which I don't understand, but whatever.I don't see why you couldn't just turn the knob down.

Without documentation, but I was wondering if it did more since it has the phone icon on the button too. Maybe mute radio and answer the phone with just one button press? Of course, there is also the hope that it would pipe the cell phone sound through the radio's speakers too.

OK, after a long line of automated machines, I finally talked to a rep from Viseon.That was a waste of my time.They do not know apparently, or at least that is what I was told.They manufacture the damn thing, butu they have no clue how it works?Anyway, I was told that it is something that a ford dealership would carry.Without knowing wtf it does, why would I buy one?To be continued.........

I wonder if they mean the Lincoln's new-for-2004 dealer installed "Mobile-Ease".

Do Lincolns use the Mach CD-6 radios? If they do, then even if Ford is only marketing Mobile-Ease to be used on Lincolns, I might just fit Mustangs too (which is really my hope).
