Centerforce Comparison

Guys,

Can anybody tell me the difference between these two kits? the 1048 is supposed to be the fox one, and the 1057 is the 93-95 one it says? However, the king cobras are all the same, and the specs on these two are all the same so I dont know what the difference could be. The reason I ask because I found a local guy selling a fox one for a real good deal and Im wondering if it will work. Thanks for any help.

Here is the link to the comparison page:

If you dont want to call CF and ask, I am pretty sure David will know (I think he once called CF to ask).

He has a 5N95 trans in his fox (hence why he needed to know).
Good luck.

James, I had looked them up on Summit's site and I couldnt tell any difference.

I *thought* one kit was supposed to handle more torque than the other, but I have too much useless info floating around in my brain and I probably have that wrong.

JT's memory amazes me all the time:nice:

I did ask Brian at Centerforce for the difference and he said that he recommended the 1057 pressure plate over the 1048. The reason was stated to me that the 1057 has a softer pedal feel AND has more clamping force compared to the 1048.

The 1057 has more clamping force because it was designed with the '93-'95 Cobra torque/power in mind, since it was more so than the typical 5.0L's from '87-'95.

The pressure plate works just fine on either a fox t-5 or sn-95 t-5:nice: There is no different measurements or clearance problems. They all fit together, but I would recommend the 1057, which is what I got and I have loved it personally.

Good Luck and you should not be dissappointed at all with a Centerforce pressure plate/disc set-up:nice:
