Ceramic Ford Racing Headers

Who has them, and how do they fit?

I have 'em and there was no problem with fitment at all.

Driver's side went in easy and the passenger side was a bitch for access but everything lined up nicely and they still look good.

I've used my FR headers on both my cars. No problems with fit.

I installed a set on my brother-inlaws car. They seem to pit fine. But they are a little on the pricey side. you could get a different brand for half the price.

Like maybe BBK. I have install Borla header on my stang in the past they fit fine too. only thing I hated about them was when you started the car up for the first time you had to let the black paint burn off.

They fit great but the Ceramic Coating will come off the corners and rust and you will end up with small rust pits on the tubes themselves.

I have the stainless steel ones on my gt40p heads and their great, and still look good.

I just installed a set last night. Replaced heads, which makes installation much easier. Excellent quality. Much better than aformentioned brands (BBK).
Threw in a set of stage 8 bolts and it looks hot!

Cant use a wratchet to change plugs anymore. Now use a spark plug socket and box wrench. Now big woop.

Not me directly, but I have an old set of BBKs that I bought back in the day that are pretty ugly/rusty so I was doing some research into the FRPP ceramics. On a Bronco bulletin board I found lots of complaints about the coating coming loose and rust forming. Enough people said they should have just gone with the standard FRPP stainless to make up my mind. Besides, they are cheap at $250 or so.

The FRPP header coating is done by Jet Hot and comes with a lifetime warranty. I have them and have not had any issues. My first set on my 95 was the standard 409 SS and turned gold/brown. My BBK's had a pinhole in the tube to flange brand new. Welded that up. The flange for the H pipe bent when tightening.

usually moisture is the killer for the header coating problems....TT that won't be a problem for you, much like myself I know you don't see much rain with that little girl.

I have a set on my 93 and they went on great, everything lined up. Quick and easy install.

Mine have been on for about 3 years and while the ceramic has dulled over time I have no pitting or rusting on mine. It was daily driven in FL for 2 1/2 years and has been sitting for the past 6 months or so. So it has seen plenty of rain and wet conditions but they still look fine.

I'm on my second set of FRPP headers. The first were the standard stainless steel ones. I had them on for five years. The fit was great, but they ended up getting a bit on the rusty side. I replaced them over the summer with the coated ones and the fit was the same (great) and they look much better. I'd highly recommend FRPP's product. They may be more expensive, but you get what you pay for in most things.

This is what my FR headers look like after about 10 years and 200k+ miles of use (daily driver, rain or shine). Definitely some rust showing up but I'll run them until I can't anymore. lol When I had them on my '90, the car sat (outside) for roughly 7 months so I know that didn't help.

I can guarantee mine will not have the wear and tear yours did. My car isn't exactly my daily driver.

That's why I made sure to add how much they've been used. They aren't exactly wiped down regularly either. lol Judging by your car it's a safe bet they will be taken better care of. I would definitely buy them again.

Yes they are done by Jet Hot, but dont be fooled by the Lifetime Warranty as it does not cover ANY Cosmetic Rust issues that they suffer from, you must have complete rust through with holes in your headers before they will do anything. They have been on my Car for about 6 years now and the car only comes out on nice days, but they have had rust pits and the edges rusty for years now.
