What's the difference between ceramics and chrome ? Will chrome heat the engine comparment more than the stock headers ?

RC's headers still look brand new after 10 years, blower and humidity.
HTS will eventually chip then rust. I would avoid that coating.
That's right.RC's?Ceramic coating is pretty much permanent. I have the chrome and they do turn blue closest to the heads.

What's the cost to get jet coatedSave the money and buy the chrome. If you really want to cover them get em jet-hot coated. The ceramic stuff comes off as soon as you start the engine. You want to keep the heat in on exhaust systems.

In 2004 it was probably about $100 bucks per side. I wonder how many of these cars are still out there? Or how many of the posters have already died? What's the cost to get jet coated
Me too which is why I'm still searching and gathering information and will make some calls and find out places near me if any that can do itIn 2004 it was probably about $100 bucks per side. I wonder how many of these cars are still out there? Or how many of the posters have already died?

cool man I definitely will be inquiring as to why myself. I can see possibly going with the BBK's if they are recommended by enough people and not too many disadvantages or fitment issues of using them. I think my basani X I bought in 2002 is stainless and think back then it was $400. I can see that a set of stainless longtubes would be ....................................................Well if some of these ghosts respond I'll get to hear it too which will be fun (most of the time it seems like it's 3 or 4 of us responding). I don't hear much about ceramic coating anymore honestly, not sure why that is. Maybe because of how common stainless is these days, or because those tiny power gains ("keeping in the heat") aren't worth the hassle or expense. Heck it could be the EPA banned the chemicals or something. I haven't thought much about it in a while myself..
