How much weight savings do you get with that hood?

now all you need are some rear slats/ louvers and the pedestal spoiler to complete the look.

I personaly think its fugly. The scoop is too big and stands out like a sore thumb. But luckily its not my car and its yours and as long as youre happy with it , it shouldnt matter what anyone else thinks, right!?

You just ruined your car.. It actually looks bent in the middle.. Put the stock hood back on, sell the hood on ebay and buy some rims imho.

Well, somebody's not here to make friends.

Ruined his car? While I can see the hood would not be for everyone, that's one hell of a statement, newb. What are you, 12? Were you even born when Welcome Back, Kotter ended?

Being all black, I think the scoop blends in really good. A lighter color and the scoop may seem a bit large.
I believe it represents the original car quite well.

yes true, but just look at the pictues you posted,,, if you wanna go that way then you have to go with the entire look, which in my opinion the tires and wheels are what should be replaced right away!

Don't let them get to ya. I LOVE that hood. It is nearly identical to plans I have for my first Mustang. Is it wierd that I have been planning the mods to my first Mustang WAY before I even buy it. And I notice I am having a REALLY REALLY hard time. Other wise, it looks incredible. I think it makes it sinnister and that the way a Mustang needs to look. Classy that can kick some. Good job dude. Ignore the uninformed and unintelligent newb. He needs to keep comments like that to himself. This isn't a place to flame proud owners who understand the spirit of the Mustang. There are alot of really nice cars out there but theres nothing like the Mustang. Bring back the past all you want. I can't believe how much that bothered me, him saying that. I guess it's cuz it's very similar to what I'd like to do myself. Oh well, on with the bueatiful modding!

no the ducktail does not cover the hood. the scoop is the same size as the original boss 429. why is everyone obsessed with having a functional hood scoop? it will give you maybe 2hp at the max, and will get water and dirt all over your engine. even the shakers do not add any power.

It wont get dirty like the old Shaker scoops because the engine is covered by a big plastic cover as with the new CDC Shaker hoods for the S197. Ive had mine for several months now and dont have a problem with water coming in or dirt. Also, there are four drain holes in the cover. The engine cover does get dirty but thats very easy to clean. And as far as it adding more power, who knows.

Sure its not the place to flame a proud owner, but when you put pics of your stang and ask for opinions, you should expect that not all of them will be positive.
I guess its all about how you tell the proud owner that you dont like it. I personally dont like the hood, but as I told him, I am glad that its his car and if he is happy with it , then thats all that matters. But again, I dont think people come here and ask for opinions and thinking everyone is gonna love whatever it is they did to their car. If we all thought alike, we'd all be driving around in Mustangs lookin like eachother, just like them vettes in Mr Deeds!

Very true comment. I do appreciate that some people here have enough respect to inform someone of their dislike of a project in an appropriate manner. I shouldn't expect everyone to like everything of course, but there is a line that some people cross and it becomes more than just rude. Keep up all the good work everyone!

I'm not particularing fond of the B2 hood but I have to say it look good on offical_style's!!! Black on black is the way to go with that hood IMO.

I prefer the M1 from Cervini's but that is just me.

I like the new Mustangs better without a hood scoop. If I were going to change hoods, it would be for a Shelby GTH.

I love the 69 look to your car. Its way unique lookin. You should get the 69 Quarter Window Covers from Cervinis. Part #4334 They would really finish the look of your car.
