i dont think the cervini's has functionial hood scoops but there is one ebay for like $495 that allows the owner to remove a plate to allow heat extraction and they can put it back on to protect it from the elements...good luck

From what I've heard Cervini has excellent products and great fit. Also, you probably don't want functioning vents anyway because wouldn't water just drip into your engine bay?

I'm 99% sure that the Cervinis "R" hood is vented at the rear. Not on the top though.

You can see them if you look VERY CLOSELY at this picture: http://www.cervinis.com/images/cobrakitsideLG.jpg

I have the Cervinis R hood. The vents are non functional and it is not vented in the back. Quality is great and fit is just like stock.

Yeah there is a guy on ebay that sells a functional 00 Cobra R hood for a little under $400. Just do a search on mustang hood and you should see it. I don't know how the quality is though.

Sorry about the mis-info. I went back and looked it up, it was a post in the 5.0 forum that said the R hood was vented, not the late model hood.

some people have been having trouble ordering from that guy, like delivery time and the quality was not great all the time.

I bought one of the ones on ebay in febuary of this year and am still fighting to get it replaced because of damage. it was shipped wrapped in plastic, with two wooden posts bolted to it, and a little cardboard on the corners. when i took off the cardboard one of the corners was cracked and am still fighting to get a replacement/refund.

The Cervinis hood is awesome and the finish is extremely good. It could be easily cut for functional cowl venting.

One complaint is that the milky stuff they make it out of takes some sanding and prep work to get the paint to stick good..But thats normal for those new plastic type materials.

I just installed a new Cervini's 2000 Cobra R lift-off hood on my car. The fit and finish were great. I installed it myself using 10 Dzus fasteners. The paint shop said it was the best quality aftermarket hood they had ever seen. I paid $199 plus freight from Cervini's.
