Tonight driving out of my neighborhood I see the garage door open at the last house on my street. I always look over because they have a 2004 LaserRed Gt but this time I see a brand new Challenger and then stang in the other side. The Challenger looked awesome and had the orange paint. I can't wait to see it on the road. Must be nice to have a stang and a challenger.

Very sweet cars, not much for performance but they look killer.

My buddy just sent his to Paxton or ProCharger (don't remember) to get a blower put on. Its supposed to make 500+rwhp on 6lbs of boost.

Man 500+rwhp with just 6lbs, thats crazy. I don't know what stock gears they come with but put some 3.73s or 4.10 on that sucker and I think it should run in the 11s with 500+.rwhp

I like em and would pimp one no problem.
I always hear the same comment from people on here though. It looks killer but its slow........ sounds like a certian Pony car that has had the love of car enthusiests (sp?) all over the world for over 40 years.
Mustang has always been pretty (there are exceptions) and slow compared to its competition. And now they are very heavy too  So when I see the Challenger brought up in BHR and people say they wouldnt get it cause its slow and heavy but does look great, I have to laugh cause thats just what we all have :rlaugh:
Our cars have potential and we squeeze out the performance out of them. I think the Challenger will do very well because they hit a home run with the looks and put good parts in there (powertrain wise) so that simple mods like a low boost blower or some STS remote mount turbos will make them GT500 eaters

I cant wait for the first time I can pair my Cobra up against a stock one just to see how they run... at the track of course :nice: :D

Yea but our cars aren't $42k+ either. :D

Its a very nice car and I would drive one BUT I think the power level is pretty close to being maxed stock. Its a low 13 sec car stock with the blower on my buddys along with full exhaust (LTs and all) I think its going to be a low 12 car but I don't see it hitting 11s.

Another problem we just found out with it is that if you have excessive tire spinning (burnout) the car goes into a limp mode that it HAS to go to the dealer to be taken out of it. We haven't tries it but there is warning on the visor that says this.

As for it being a GT500 eater with a blower. Maybe a bone stock one but I think with just a intake and tune on a GT500 is will walk it again. I raced my buddys in the GT500 and I raped him. It really wasn't even close. Im getting ready to order a JLT and Tuner for the Shelby so I'll try to do a before and after once he gets the blower on and I get my goodies.

Hey guys...The SRT-8 version is a 12.9-13.0 at 109-110 mph range car out of the box....With a blower.I think it will be in the 11's .I have a 2006 Mag SRT-8 which is heavier then the Challenger,by about 500lbs i think...My SRT-8 with a 100 shot runs 12.0 @ 118 mph on stock F1's...ive got a best of 1.80 60ft..I think the Challenger will be faster with less weight..And i think there coming out with a
6spd for them too....

my youngest brother test drove one just before he bought his 350z which he got 2 nights ago and he said they drive like a lowered suv lol. he said it just feels like a boat when you drive them. they feel quick from the torque but arent that fast.

his 2008 350 would walk the challenger lol maybe not the srt 8 but his car also didnt cost 40grand either and still runs low 13s lol.

nice cars but i think more of the older generation would buy them. my dad really likes them but still says they are not as big as they use to be.

actually the challenger SRT-8 and the magnum SRT-8 are around the same curb weight.

The fastest I've heard anyone go is like 13.1-13.2

The Magnum is less than a 100lbs heavier (closer to 50lbs) and with a loaded Challenger they weigh the same.

The biggest problem is the gears (3.06). With adding the blower is it needs revs to make boost and with the weak gears its going to "lag" a little I think.

Yeah the gears are only 3.06's...but i heard there coming out with gears...And my 1st run ever in my Car was in Nov so it was cold i went a 12.9@110 stock...but your right there around a 13.0-13.2 car stock...but they also came out with the predator tuner for us...i heard and seen guys running mid 12's with just the hand held tuner...One thing i can say is the SRT-8 from the factory the Air fuel ratio is like 10.5-11.0 at wide open throttle ...thats why there getting more with the hand held tuner because they can lean it out...I dont have a hand held tuner all i have is a Cold air intake....cooler t-stat..spintech mufflers..hehe....i liked the sound of them...And rear resonators removed..I run a ZEX nitrous kit with only a 100 shot and i turned a best of [email protected] hotter days i go like 12.2's in the 114-116 mpg range...I want to get the tuner and run 125 shot then a 150 shot...Oh as far as weight ...Im sure the Magnum is heavier with me in my car i weighed it at Englishtown tons of times...its 4685 lbs with me in it...I dont remove anything tho....:D

I already have a land yacht with a bad ass motor so I guess I wont be buying another one anytime soon
Of course it would be nice to have over 400hp with a warrenty :nice:
