Change my timing through iat plug?

I run a zex wet nitrous kit and currently spray a 75 shot. I want to go to a 100-125 shot but have no way to retard my timing! 2 degrees retard for 100 shot and 4 degrees retard for 125 shot. Someone told me i can retard my timing by using a resister in my iat sensor plug? Does anyone know about this? If so what ohm resister do i use?
Thanks
Dave

I'm pretty sure that won't work, as the IAT just sends intake temperature readings to the ECU, nothing more. Changing the ohm resistance should not change the timing. You need a programmer to do the job.

Putting a resistor on the IAT line would make the IAT think the incoming air is hotter than it really is. This would make the ECU pull timing. The amount of timing pulled would depend on the values the tuner programmed in..

I guess it would work, but you would have to know the amount of timing you tuner specified for hotter air to be able to know what value of resistor to put in.

IMO, it would be a very big hack and probably dangerous..
