Good plan. Keeping my car clean and running well is the only thing I've got planned for a long time.

Nothing like firing your car up and your dog runs away. Or you set your significant other's car alarm off at 5AM heading to work. Or you go for a cruise and can't talk to the passenger. Or you're in the car for more then 30 minutes and you get a head ache. Or every douche bag on the road tries to race you. Or you get pulled over for no reason. Or you get nervous at stop lights.

Just reading your journey with this car is enough to entertain the entire forum! Good luck with your latest plans!

I'm behind you 100%. Hopefully you'll get the tune sorted out. That's the biggest hindrance to drive ability i know of.

I'm really hesitant to do my side exhaust after hearing how loud TurboGT's new setup is.

i, like the others, understand completely. that is the reason i have made many of the decisions i have made. it doesn't matter how much hp or how fast it is if you don't want to drive it.

i did not at all like the exhaust smell or leaks from the kooks, so i got rid of them and put in cats.

i got rid of my coilovers and cc plates because of the rattle that drove me crazy. now i have the 4x4 look again, but i am happy and can go over speed bumps without worrying.

i picked the cam i have because i know that my driving style is just cruising 95% of the time, and when i do step on it, i still almost never wind it up much past 4500 or so.

could i get more 100 more horses out of mine with a more agressive cam and intake and a free-er flowing (ie louder) exhaust? absolutely. but it would also make me less likely to want to drive it.

bottom line ... it has to be a car you want to drive and want to choose when you go out to your driveway, or else you have wasted your time and money. believe me, i know what it is like to have wasted alot of time and money and end up with a car the i don't want to drive. mine is finally pretty close to the way i want it, but it still needs new seats and paint, and the money just is not there right now and won't be for probably 5 years (2 kids going to collegs will do that), so it sits.

I'm running BBK Headers, O/R H-Pipe (... was on the car, planning to get an X), no Mufflers, pipes out the back..

Shouldn't be _TO_ loud ... I hope

thats going to be.... very loud... too loud. you'll get pulled over eventually

i am glad to see that you are coming to your senses. while i love my stang, i just can not bear to add up all the time and money i have put into it. hot rodding can easily become a never ending addiction and it can get very expensive after a while. i have other things that need my money right now, so i have put all hot rodding on hold.

i now have a new obsession ... world of warcraft. yes, it can easily take up all my time too, but at least it only costs $15 per month, and i can honestly say that i am never bored! at $15 per month, i could keep busy for 1000 months (83 years!) and still not spend as much as i have dumped into this car (that is going to take probably another 5 grand to finish)

... must finish these quests ... must get to level 80 ... must get my epic mount ... must get my blacksmithing up ... must do battlegrounds ...
