I changed my heater core about a month ago, and drive it so rarely at the moment that I just noticed my blinkers don't work anymore. I looked at some wiring diagrams but wasn't able to decipher exactly where I should be looking.

Does anybody know approximately what I may have disconnected/not reconnected that would cause them to stop working? I plugged everything back in to the steering column. When I pulled the glove box off, I found a relay stashed up in there, a square shaped one that looked aftermarket.. 2 wires weren't connected to anything.. subsequently I removed it. Is it possible this was related to the blinkers? Any help = greatly appreciated.

the TS relays are buried anywhere on our cars. some have found them under the glove box, some behind the radio and The Shape said (IIRC) he found his on the drivers side under the dash.

someone might have swapped an electronic relay in - otherwise im not sure what the square relay could be.

good luck.

i did the same thing when i changed my heater core last winter.pull your hazard/rear defrost switch out and see if the wires have pulled out of the connector.the signals run through this switch.it's not that uncommon.

Success!!

After hours and hours of tracing wires, checking voltages, replacing relays, etc, I found that when I removed the dash to replace the heater core, the lt. blue wire going from the turn signal relay to the multifunction switch became unplugged from the multifunction switch entirely. I was unable to find the other end of lt. blue wire under the dash, so I rewired it and plugged it in to the open slot in the multifunction switch wiring harness, and now the blinkers work again.

I actually have the same exact problem. i changed my heater core about 2 months ago and now my turn signals don't work. My hazards work fine so that kind of confused me. could i have the same thing disconnected? Hopefully that is my problem although i haven't gotten in any touble so far i've just been using hand signals. well hopefully i can figure this out.
