All the car does is turn over, doesnt seem to fire, when I let the key off it sorta half azz fires and stumbles for a second if that...Im gonna go back out and change back over to the stock cap/rotor ands ee what that does....but I made sure I had the right firing order, and plugs/wires were on tight

well I baught a autozone cap/rotor....put my stock one back on and it fired right up, runs like a champ, came back from the test drive, put the autozone on back on and nothing, so Im taking the peice of crap back and getting my money back

Wow, I like your idea to go back over stuff real quick. Make sure any ancillary components which were disco'd or removed to access plugs are reconnected. I still might have guessed crossed wires, but we know you got that right.

Good luck.

I label the cap before I put it on where all the wires go  I know it might be stupid, but I dont mix them up...went back to autozone and exchanged it for another cap/rotor kit and she fired right up, runs like a champ now, musta been a defect or something....I ran a autozone cap/rotor on my prevuious gt and ran perfect....

I am glad to hear it worked. I have never heard of a defective cap - We know how basic a cap is. LOL.

I have had them crack, which lead to a nasty misfire (fire shooting out the carb) but the car still kinda ran.

Interesting - thanks for posting what the solution was. :nice:

yeah, its never fun keeping people wondering what ever happened...not sure what the deal was...the one thing I noticed was the wires stayed on the second cap alot better  they seemed more snug, but who knows what the problem was, car runs awesome now!
