I changed out my ignition switch this morning because it's been on it's way out for a few weeks.
Sure enough, the old one was starting to separate from the metal base. Anyway, one of the mounting holes and screw were stripped. I bought a longer screw in order to grab a little more "meat" but I had to shim it with some washers to keep it from being too long. Now it seems like when I turn the key forward to start the car it feels loose for lack of a better word. Like it's lost it's spring to kick back once I let off of it. I bought the cheap $10 switch should I have went with the $20?
Any thoughts or similar experiences?
