Sunday,I cut a rectangle hole out of the trunk floor so I could swap the pump a LOT more easily.I went to Lowe's and bought a 12x12 steel panel, made a custom cover for the hole I cut out,put a bead of sealant down, installed the cover, and put 7 small button head screws in to hold it all together,re-installed the carpet, done.I can change the pump in 10 minutes now.The hole took 5 minutes to cut out.Once the carpet is installed, you can't even tell anything was done.At first I didn't want to do it,but afterwards,I'm glad I did.If for some reason, somewhere down the road, the pump gives, and I'm a ways from home,no worries,no hassle.
