If I wanted to change to a five lug conversion, do I just need to switch the front rotors with some 94 and up ones and the same with the axles? Are they a direct swap or do I need to buy special ones? Thanks for the help.

If you've got a "sweet 03 Cobra" then why would you ask about a 5 lug conversion? lol

There are a couple ways you can go. This has been talked about at great length in many threads. Do a search and you will find all kinds of info.

The most importent thing to decided is what wheels you want to run. Some wheels will only work with the SN-95 brake conversion. Others will work fine with the the Lincoln rotor conversion.

What wheels are thinking about using?

Well I just bought a 89 notchback and I have the front 15" weld draglites I use on my 03 cobra and a set of 16" gt rims. I would just perfer to have one set of slicks and skinnies around the house so I would probably buy a set of 15 or 16" weld draglites for the rear of the notchback and be done with it. If it is a big pain in the ass I will just buy 4 lug dratlites, this car is for the track only.

Well here is the link to matt90gt's five lug conversion site, but it appears to be down: http://svo73mm.cjb.net/. Do a search under matt90gt and you will find tons of info.

There are replacement rotors. But the rotors are not what carry the lugs! They are drilled for the lugs You need to change the spindles(front), which causes you to change the rotors

****, what the hell was I thinking. Thanks for setting me straight. So basically would it be best just to keep it a four lug, I'm just putting draglites on it and it is a track car only.

Part right, part wrong.

Yes, there is a replacement rotor. Any Non-ABS Lincoln Mark VII rotor will literaly bolt on.... no mods neeed.....uses stock brake calipers too. The Lincoln rotor does carry the wheel studs.

What's wrong is the Lincoln rotor does not need a different spindle.

HOWEVER....if you intend to put on SN95 front brakes you will need the new spindles and I think those do not carry the studs in the rotors. But I am not sure. See the link that someone else posted for you to go to. There is A LOT of info there.

All you need is the lincoln front rotors and two Ranger 7.5" driver side axles and brake drums. It's that easy.

But if you are building a track only car you can buy bolt on wheels that are 4 lug and save some money.

I don't care about the brakes or any of that crap, I have a set of five lug draglites and instead of buying another set of 4 lug, I just figure I could get away for using them on both.

If they fit on an 03 cobra correctly the backspacing is going to be all wrong if you do the lincoln/ranger 5 lug conversion. The slicks may not fit under the rear because they'll be sucked in.

alright, then to my next question, what rims do I need to purchase. Back spacing and whatever so that I can get 15x3 1/2 and 15x8s under that thing. It is an 87. Bolt pattern?
