My car has been stored since November. I go out and start it every now and then and let her run for about a half hour just to heat up and keep things flowing. I went out to start it this morning and the battery is completely dead. I figured what the hell, I'll just put a charger on it and let it charge for a while and then try to start her up. This is where my problem comes. When i hook up my charger to the car the alarm starts going off. I tired to hit any of the buttons on my remote and it still goes off. So i figured i'd just get two new batteries for the remote, well that still didn't do it. How can i charge it up or even jump it with out the alarm going off?

are you on the original battery? if you are, dont bother and get a new battery
if you want to charge it, unplug the terminals from the car first

why in the hell would you send current to the battery, if its still tied into the cars electrical system?????
Your alternator can be checked by taking a voltmeter and reading the current while the car is running. Then have someone turn the headlights on. if the voltage drops and stays lower than what it read before the lights were on, its the alternator. If your battery is fully charged and dies the next day, its the battery itself.

The battery is only about a year old. So it should be cool. The battery only died cause the car has been sitting for the last two weeks with out running at all, so the alternator is cool too.
Even when i disconnected the battery, once i try to hook it back in the alarm goes off. I tried to trace the wires from the alarm system and i can't find a fuse any where. Even when the alarm is going off my remote won't stop it, so i have no clue
