I am haveing troubles with the charging on my 92 LX. I know it is a big shocker to everyone...he he he. I left the car last week in the garage and when I came back three days later there was no charge in the battery. So I jumped the car and it started just fine. The alternator would not charge the battery so I figured that it was a bad battery. Checked/replaced the battery. Still no charge. Took off alternator...bad alternator. Got a new one and installed and it seems to not be charging. I started the car and before I could park the car that I jumped it with it was dead and would not start again. That is where I am at right now. I am going out to recheck all the grounds so please help me. I will be back soon hopeing for some input. Thanks in advance all!

Kris

with the new battery the car should be able to start at least 15 to 20 times before having problems. check your starter cable for a short to ground, check the chassis or engine ground from battery and check the terminals on the solinoid(they also have been known to go bad the solinoid) also you probably already did this but be sure the battery cables and terminals are clean.. good luck chris

Its Fixed!!!

Well I am not sure what exactly it was but it is fixed. I went out and rechecked all the grounds, wires, and connections. I guess it must have been a wire not connected all the way. Thankfully it is working like a champ right now. Now it is time to get some new rims and springs on her. Thanks for all the help! That is why I love this website, always someone around to help out.

Kris
