About 4 days ago my voltage meter was at the 2nd line charging at like 8. I replaced the alternator(about 4months ago) battery(about 2 days ago) and replaced the battery terminals and wires with fresh ones. I bolted in the battery and the cables, and the same thing happened. Dropped really low, and it died on me. The next day, I open my door, and the dome light was on like it wasn't even dead. So I tried to start it and nothin. I even tried to bumpstart and still nothing. Does anyone know how I can pinpoint where the problem could be? Thanx

a parts store often will check the charging system for free. alternatively, can you tell us the battery voltage with the car off, then with it idling, then at 2K rpm.
where did you get the alternator from? a parts store can also bench test the alternator if you dont want to drive the car.
there is a lot more, but that is the biggies. BTW, that was short - i was expecting a novel.
