I recently swapped an autometer cluster into my 92 gt. My charging system hasn’t worked since then. I put in a new alternator and I still have the same problem. I followed a guide of jrichker’s that I found and after disconnecting the D plug on the regulator ( on the alternator) and testing the lg/red wire with engine off/ ignition on I’m seeing 0 voltage (supposed to be 12). There is a lg/r wire I have labeled as battery from the factory cluster that is not connected to my autometer cluster, is this the same wire and I’m assuming the reason my system will no longer charge?
I don’t understand why it would have to be connected to some form of warning light in order to allow the alternator to charge, so I’m not sure how to fix this problem. I don’t believe my cluster has a battery warning light.
Thanks,
Tyler
