alright, whenver i get up to about 3500 to 5000 rpm in second and third gear there is a chattering sound coming from somewhere near the tranny/drive shaft. anyone have any idea what this could be? it has me stumped. it also feels like there is alittle bit of power loss during the chattering.

I have a similar sound.

But it occurs in every gear and even out of gear.
Its like a rattling noise. Looked under the car and couldnt find anything loose...

I dont notice much if any power loss though...

well I actually had some knocking/detonation that sounded mechanical.

Check your timing. Is anything loose under the car?

Change anything recently?

no chance you still have cats and they are coming loose inside? clogged up cats could explain power lose.

cut cats out and have straight pieces of pipe welded in. or go and buy a new high flow catted h or x-pipe.
