while we're on this topic... has anyone had any experience with either of these shifters????

ebay # - 250606545799

or..

ebay # - 160357201744

both seem like pretty quality shifters to me. but i dont know much about them.. the only experience i've had is when we put a MGW in our 03 cobra (now sold). it was a dang nice shifter... but also not cheap at all.

S.T.P man iam silly always doing things in a rush. the noise i heard was the shift knob that was a little loose and thats what the noise was. man the more i drive the car i still cant get over the fact that the shifter was 43 dollars shipped to my house what a steal, it feels so tight and shift sweet. but maybe you can answer this for me why did they give extra washers for the shifter, because i read the profile on it at summit and it said that you can position it different ways do you know what the mean . but anyway thanks for the replys it helps alot when you are not to sure about something.....

Not sure about the extra washers, I do remember them being in the box, but I never used them. I have everything in the box still with the stock shifter, so maybe I'll look at what those might do for me. To be honest, I really don't care, this thing is awesome. My car is my DD and I can't imagine driving the miles I do with the stock shifter. One of the best and cheapest mods for sure.

I think i'm going to order this shifter soon... unless someone has had a bad experience with it. Does anyone know good or bad things on this or have an opinion in general? Any opinion would help. Says it reduces throw 50%. is that too much? Also it doesnt come with directions.. is it pretty simple to change in a T-45? just take out the old then put in the new?

this is the shifter in question (sorry you'll have to copy and paste the ebay numbers into ebay.. the links wouldnt work)

160357201744

or would also consider this shifter..

250606545799

I called about it and they said it's a knock off of B&M's shifter then make for the T-45 tranny. However B&M's is $250 and this one is not... maybe B&M just used stainless steel instead of what they used. but would that explain the extra cost?

Looks pretty nice though

saw this and purchased this. its a bit tight for me but the stock one was so sloppy I had a pro 5.0 on a fox and its better than that IMO.

Def. worth the money so far we will see in a year how it is

sb thats how mine was at first but after two weeks now it has gotten alot softer on the shifts. also i think you can adjust the tension on it i dont know how but if you look it up on summit racing it tells you the features on this shifter.

yeah you can adjust the tension you back of the nut and drive the set screw down inton the spring for increased tension, What i did was installed the shifter then tightened the set screw so it was just contacting the spring. I was worried the more i compressed that spring the harder it would be to move the handle while in neautral.

thanks for the link again really happy with this unit and I was very impressed with the piece. when you look at the stock shifter it must have cost 3 dollars to make
