Cheapest way to get cobra brakes on my stang?

I know I need 94-98 mustang spindles, but where is the cheapest place to find these, the rotors, and calipers?

You live in san diego, crusie the mall. Theres gotta be atleast one Cobra there ya can jack .
but in all seriousness, i would try the classified section. Sometimes there are cars being parted out, or if a cobra owner goes to a better brake package. They usually just wanna get rid of them to pay for their $1000 brake set up.

Try www.car-part.com to find some spindles possibly local, or at least fairly close by. They are running $45-100+ each in your area. But Nate is right, to find Cobra brakes cheap, you just have to keep looking in all the website classified and any local club sites for parts. They have a good resale value, so if you find some at a good price, you are lucky. I've seen new calipers run around $109 each, and rotors I've heard run around $45-80 each. PPI, www.mustangparts.com , sells the new kit with calipers, rotors, and lines for around $400. If you find used for less than $250-300, that is a pretty good deal.

I keep holding out for a great deal like Groverdill got...... I think he paid like $20 or so for his calipers from a friend, I believe!

You know about the width differences on the 94-95 and the 96-04 spindles, right?

the SN95 spindles stick out farther than FOX spindles I believe is what he's saying. I *think* ranger and astrovan spindles will work, but you have to get them from the same side like both right side...research that if you wanna go that route. I know guys have used SN95 spindles, you just gotta watch your backspacing and all to make sure that your tires won't rub, that would most likely be the biggest problem.

I just did a rear disc conversion on my 91 GT. I kept my stock length axles by using a special bracket made by North Race Cars. The rotors and calipers are from a 98 Mustang. The bracket worked great, allowing me to keep the stock length rear axles so no backspacing or rubbing issues.

None of your info is correct. Ignore everything posted there.

94-95 keeps the stock track width. VERY important if you want to run 9" wide wheels.

The brakes and spindles are not hard to find. Check out the car-part.com link and start watching/searching. It is all the small parts that will add up. adapters, MC, cables, FMS parts, booster, PV, etc.

Hey thanks Matt, you helped me out on my lincoln LSC rear disc brake conversion. So I'll hunt down some spindles, but any advise on maybe some crossed drilled rotors for a reasonable price, and who would have the calipers. I like the 2003 cobra calipers, and the bullit's too. Besides the bumpsteer kit, are there any other parts I'll need? I already have a 1996 MC, your 3-2 port kit, and an adjustable PV.

Please forgive me for posting false information...I guess. I know i've read that the SN95 spindles stick out farther than FOX spindles, but who knows. I know the track in the rear of fox stangs is 57" and 94-95 is 59.1", so take that for what it's worth. I'm not going to argue, just trying to help.

Everyone makes mistakes. The wheels are offset more and the rear ends are wider by 3/4" on each side.

It is all in the word you used. SPINDLES are the attachment points for the front brakes that allow the wheels to turn, and have nothing to do with the back of the car. If you had used AXLES in your first post instead of SPINDLES, you would have been 100% correct.
