When I start driving hard, the CE light will pop on for about 30 seconds then go away when i stop beating on her.

I pulled the codes and it came up perfect.

This ONLY happens when I start to stomp on the pedal. Normal driving never triggers the CE light.

Any ideas? I don't have cats on the car, so maybe it has something to do with that?

thanks,

Adam

You might have a wiring problem at the CEL blub. If you are running the codes right, that is. Make sure you do the KOEO, and KOER codes as well. Follow the procedure lined out in the haynes manual.

Agreed with Scott. if the CEL was triggered, there should be codes stored. That is unless you dont have constant power to the KAM.

good luck.

Sorry for the late response fellas, I just graduated college and I have been a little busy lately. (Bachelors in Electrical and Computer Engineering!!)

Anyway, I ran the codes with my cheapo system, all clear. My uncle, who is a mechanic scanned my car with the machine at his shop. Everything comes up all clear, no codes stored.

What does KAM stand for? And where is it located? Excuse my nubishness.

thanks fellas,

Adam

I have a 25 dollar scanner. My uncle has a 700 dollar scanner. Still nothing, still have the CE light after WOT runs.
