Check engine light stop working

has anyone had there check engine light stop working? I went to turn on my car yesturday and i noticed that the check engine light would not come on when i would turn the key. as far i as remember it would turn on. dont know if this will affect anything.

It shouldn't affect anything. Check to see if the bulb burned out.

Hard isn't the best word, more like time consuming.
