Check engine light

Hey guys the check engine light came on today on my way home, but there was no indication of what it might have been, it just suddenly came on. The car is a stock 94 with only gt takeoffs, h-pipe, and k&n. Any ideas on what it might be or what to do about it?

Could be anything. If there wasn't any perceiveable change in the car's performance, then it's likely something non-critical like a sensor- or emissions-related issue.

You'll have to get the code checked to have any real idea about what it is. Even though it's likely non-critical, you should do so ASAP.

Thanks, I'll get it checked tomorrow, I hope it is just some sensor, the car runs exactly the same as before.

I bet it's your EGR valve. Mine just went on my 2002. About 6 months after I put my exhaust on.

yeah the dam EGR(exhaust gas recirculation) vales suck they slow cars down
