can anyone please help me my check fuel cap light came on today on the way home tried screwing it on and off sevreal times everything seems normal. why is this light on, on my dash ?????

try autozone... they keep caps for cars by code... and they can look yours up for you... i reccomend just trying a different cap for a few hours and see if anything changes... it is possible for caps to get damaged.. or lose their ability to hold fuel pressure which leads me to beleive that light would come on.
well if it helps any about 3 days ago my wife tells me she drove away from the gas pump with the nossle still in the car she realized it 10 feet after she left the gas station, i took a look at the openin but i see no damage what so ever but now 3 days later my check fuel cap light comes on. the nossle came out of the car when she drove away. but she still got out and put the cap on.
