03 cobra, why is my check fuel cap on, its also triggering the CEL.

Because your fuel cap is loose maybe? Try removing and then replacing it ensuring it seats properly in the process.

Either that, or maybe there is some sort of leak in your fuel system which is preventing it from pressurizing properly.

i got the same problem..i have tested the cap and have tryed a new one and still the light goes on..both cel and cap ...code 453 comes up on trouble codes..very strange also is that the vacuum hose attached to the intake is crumbling and if you touch it the black sutt wont come off your hands...i am one that likes to fill my tank to the top...wonder if the overflow was sucked into the evap canister and this could be the problem..do you fill your tank past thepump clicking off?
