Here's my times...
60'.......2.358
330......6.452
1/8......9.766
MPH.....77.75
1000....12.617
1/4......14.981
MPH.....95.56

Is this typical for my setup or do I need more practice...this was my first ever run at a track by the way....

I have; aluminum radiator/elec. fan, pulleys, american thunder cat-back, catless x-pipe+dumps, c.a.i, gear-drive, 3.73's, full coil-overs, tubular a-arms, upper and lower controller arms, and other misc ****tte on 225/50r/16 street tires.....is this a decent time??? what times should I expect when I install my vortech vs-1 sc kit @ 6psi /w 255gph pump?? how much of a difference with drag radials or slicks???

How many passes did you make? What is the race weight of your car? Are you spinning or hooking up? I take it you are spinning, so tires will help alot. I am curious, is you car lowered?

Maybe you need to work on ur driving. With those mods you should see low 14's easy, most likely high 13's with ease. With that tubular k member you dropped weight and you have 3.73s. With my car with exhasut, pullies and stock 2.73s I am running low 14's at 100 mph....ur mph is there but ur time isnt. And I was getting 2.4 60's which are worse then yours. I think with more pratice you can get a high 13 run. With slicks it would be surely 13's and with a blower it would be 12's MAYBE 11.9

well Id say he is lowered since he has coil overs, and Im sure he had to be spinning hence the slower time, but hes trappng decenlty

hey guys.....
I am lowered...all the way! probebly 2.5 inches....wont go any lower on coil overs...looks cool, but does this effect my performance? I was not aware that having it too low would cause worse times??? I am spinning...most of first and at least half of second..whats the best rpm to shift at with my combo? thanks for the quick replys....

elec. fan, pulleys, american thunder cat-back, catless x-pipe+dumps, c.a.i, gear-drive, 3.73's = thats your power combo, and I will have to say, you should better times than that. Your 60ft is killing you, you need a little traction and hook.

The "porno interior is nothing but the red with black accents interior. Sorry, nothing x-rated, although a few x rated things have been known to happen once or twice R.H.!!! I am working on a few peices to it, but I will post some pics once I do. I'm trying to more or less make it black with red accents, but the under the hood gets first priority, suspension second, interior and exterior last, but not least (forgotten). I am trying to keep this theme through the car.

I wasn't putting your power combo down, just pointing out what really makes the power. I got Nitto's about three weeks ago, I am so glad I did and I think you would too if you put them on yours.

what was weather like? temp, baro, dew point and humidity. Your 60' is pretty bad but im sure its difficult launching on a stiff suspension. Other than that, you also seem to be losing a little topend, with that 1/8th MPH you should be at about 98 MPH in the 1/4. could be your overrevving/underrevving the car. I went from 97-98 to 100 switching from 5400 to about 5100. I wouldnt run drag radials untill i got better launches from the street tires.

MY friend went 14.13 @ almost 100 in his stock 90GT with a 2.2 or 2.3 60' (i forget). His mods include longtubes, o/r H, flows, 14* timing and a filter. Stock 273's on 17" street tires lowered 2". With gears and dr's, he's easy 13.50's. He's about 3400-3450 race weight.

Maybe it was the track conditions. Where is Yucaipa in California? Is L.A.County Raceway as hot & dusty as I've heard? The earlier reply from the guy asking about the weather bears consideration. I've seen 4-tenths difference at my home track between a crisp, cool spring day and a hot, muggy August night.

no, its not that your a bad driver, or your car, you just cant get good traction off the line and that is half the race. with good traction that 95 mph can get you a 14.0 if you wanted. i went a 14.1@94mph in my 82 with a few mods and 4.10's, the beotch just hooked!

the lowering springs are hurting performance, it looks cool, but its hurting your launches.
