Yep... that nose is BADASS! The bubble hatch is a train wreck and the rims and stance are ghetto.

Aight im ordering 2" lowering springs, all new struts, im putting a lx hatch with saleen wing, and painting it grey with metallic rose. Thanks for all the honest opinions. Yeah i dunno why it sits so high, it was this way when i bought it 3 yrs ago. No air susp. or anything, just ghey springs I guess The nose i got from xenon for 180, cause its virtually impossible to find an original. Anyways yeah i'll post a few pics when its all finished, prob july. BTW, it may be a lil ugly, but this thing runs like a bitch!! I like picking on all the imports around here.

Leave the skateboard ramp off the back of you capri.
If you want to change hatches ok but the big ugly wing has to go!

Wings are for ricers!

Thanks man, i've kinda come to like it. As for swapping out the interior for 87-93 stang, no way, i like it, i can remove things very easily like this...ie blower motor/heater core, swap out in less than 30 mins

Wrong on several counts. Wings ARE NOT for ricers, they don't need, or deserve, to use them. Look at all of the winning cars in American Iron and you will see the very same thing riceboys are emulating on their fart can commutoboxes. All the winners from Griggs, Maximum Motorsports, Steeda, etc are all running those big aluminum wings on their winning cars for a good reason- and they were all doing it years before the sport compact craze. The Saleen wing in particular that you are calling a skateboard ramp happens to be a functional race item, wind tunnel tested and race proven over the last two decades, as are all of their ground effects. There are many proud Saleen owners in here and even more fans, busting on them would be unwise whether you think they are ugly or not... and putting anything Saleen in the same sentence with "ricer" is a sacrilege.

Ok, so please... Ask yourself.. Is this guy running American Iron? NO. So your "point" doesn't apply here. Huge wings are gay, and ricer. Even IF a Saleen wing is "functional", when was the last time you actually used it? Going 100 + around a corner? Ok then. Putting a huge wing on your Daily driven Mustang is as pointless and as ricer as a Honda boy putting them on their car. I'm sure they can go 100+ out of the factory to make it "useful", so can a Mustang... but what "ricer" is, is putting something on your car that is tastless and not functional on a street car.

When was the last time? I have never used it since I don't have one on my car. Whether or not it gets used is completely irrelevent on a Mustang, just like your perspective of what is functional on a streetcar is irrelevent. Why have a 140mph speedo? When was the last time you used it? Doesn't matter, it's there because that's what the car was built to be able to do, unlike a typical Civic. I talk to people all the time who think having a V8 is useless in a streetcar, where can you really use it legally? They are simply at a different level of ignorance, and not worth my time.
I don't like how the Saleen wing looks either, but thousands of Saleen fans do and they have an impressive racing history to back them up. Since you evidently missed my point, let me rephrase it: show some respect. You don't have to like how it looks any more than I do, but we aren't talking about euro's or gold wire wheels here- it's a huge part of Ford's racing history and the proven parts Steve Saleen developed for Mustangs. Both of you have a lot of nerve pissing on that icon in here.

I sort of agree with not putting saleen wings on non-saleen cars. My biggest pet peeve EVER in the Mustang world is people putting wings on notchbacks. Notchback's sleeper, stripped, no-frills image is completely ruined when people do that. Winged or wingless is completely at the descretion of the owner, but unless you are drift-cornering at 80+ mph, or hitting the traps at 150+ mph, i don't seem to see the point of it all. My second biggest pet peeve is body modifications that aren't functional. No disrespect to the Saleen Mustang, but the Saleen was a full package. The wing was functional, but worked hand in hand with the suspension, the weight ratio, the tires, drivetrain and brakes. My point is, i don't think Saleen wings are very effective on an otherwise stock 5L Mustang.

NO!! Don't do it!! It won't look right with out a rear bumper cover to tie it together.

However, I do have a suggestion for something to accomplish what I think your going for and it'd look right on the car. Get a pair of rocker trim skirts from an 84-86 SVO. They're more subtle and kinda mimic the nose the car has.

dude u take that hatch off and u ruin the car, its a capri, not a stang. Just sell it and get a cookie cutter fox stang. If u take the hatch off, send me a PM cuz ill take it off ur hands. Its an aquired taste, but bubble hatches own.

Well the hatch idea is up in the air, i actually have a stang hatch to use, when i paint the car, im gonna paint it also, in case i ever want to use it. As for the side skirts, i forgot to mention that im gettin the rear bumper too, all filled in.

I don't think i saw anyone mention this, but the hatch isnt just a bolt it on and go ordeal...you have to change the tail light assymbly as well, and they don't just bolt right in...the wiring harnesses are in a different spot and you have to cut the hell out of the truck to get them to work right. It's a butcher job for sure.
