FRPP blower. I'm ridiculously excited about it. Sadly, it will probably be a few months before I get it on. I want to be sure I have everything I need before I begin the install. I've still got to get a fuel pump, fuel injectors, boost and fuel pressure gauges, and possibly a 75 mm TB with a decent CAI (K&N, most likely), depending on some of your opinions on if they'd help.

I've got several questions about the whole ordeal, most of them involving fuel and fuel delivery with the 98 mix-matched fuel system. Matter of factly, I'm probably gonna start a thread in tech here in just a bit.

I'm looking forward to the install. I love working on my car and all the challenges that normally comes along with it. And I haven't done anything to my car since early summer.

So you bought it from SRT?

Congrats to both of you! I'm glad to see that he sold this blower after his thread getting moved, and glad you have it. That blower, and a set of 3.73's should get you in to the mid 12's. I ran that blower with svo heads, on my brothers car back when I was 17-18 years old and he took off for college. What a blast it was, even though I totaled the car.

you should have went with a PI intake :D

Already have one of those. Just decided it wasn't enough. :D

Yup, got it from SRT.

I'd LOVE to go 12's; you can't even imagine how happy I'd be if I got into the 12's. FRPP advertises a 55 hp gain on a bone stock car with their tune; I'm hoping that with PI cams, offroad exhast, maybe 75 mm TB and K&N FIPK, I'd make a good bit more than that. I'm shooting for 300ish horsepower. Regardless of what I make, I'm gonna have to get some traction first....

Was the totalling of the car caused by how much power it made? :D Or just an accident?

I really can't wait to started on the install. I've got several friends that are really into cars in general that all want to be around/help with the install. Although honestly, other than stuff like remounting the alternator and installing the fuel pump, it isn't much different than a PI intake swap, which me and my dad did in a few hours first time.

Also, everyone check out my thread in tech. I gots teh questions.

If I remember right, the car made around 320rwhp. This was with svo heads and npi cams. I think that you should be around that same area with the PI cams and your mods. I remember a guy getting 370rwhp out of this blower, many years ago on his 2v with the stock shortblock.

I totaled the car after I won an award for high school football in Houston. Went out, had a good time, and did not have any common sense and should not have been behind the wheel.

Good luck on the install and I hope you get some nice results.

Hey i got a focus fuel pump im wanting to sell. I upgraded to a cobra pump so i dont need it. But, I don't get off work for another 3-4 weeks so it would have to wait until then. Anyway PM me if your interested.

the 96-98 has a return style system, i dont think a focus pump would work i would drop in a walbro pump and that should handle WAY more than that blower will ever need

Yea, I know mine has the return style. But, the 98's have a variable voltage pump, or something like that, whereas the 96-97 (and the Walbros) are constant voltage (according to what I have read). Wouldn't this cause a Walbro on a 98 just to burn up in a fairly short period of time? And, because the 99-up are variable voltage and compatible with the focus pump, wouldn't that mean that the 98 would be as well?

Using this argument, I could just drop the Focus pump (not the whole assembly, just the pump itself) into my stock assembly, and everything would be hunky dory?

Someone please correct or confirm this theory for me. I've heard some people say Focus pump will not work; I've heard some say it will work perfectly fine. I need to know which, as it's probably the cheapest way for me.
