Check out the new purchase....

Well after some thought, i decided to sell the S trim i had, and go with a single turbo kit. I found a guy selling a used PTK kit, so i grabbed it. All the cold parts have been re coated, so they look new. There is a bit of rust on the downpipe, but that is expected. Over all the kit looks awesome, and i didnt have to wait a ridculous amount of time to get it like i would have if i bought new.

The intercooler was orginally an air/air, then it was sent back and water tanks were welded on. Im gonn stay away from the air/water and just cut the tanks off..

I just put an order in for a pt61 turbo .81 ar. Suports max 680 hp, so it will be more than enough for what i want to do with the car. I hope to make 450-475rwhp, which shouldnt be a problem, i just dont want to push the stock short block to far. It does have only 10k miles on it though.

Heres some pics of *some* of the stuff. Its gotta be -10 degrees in my garage right now and im outa propane! So i did it quick, i was freeezing lol. I should have some of the kit on the car tomorrow, so ill get a few pics then..

Don't H/X it unless you HAVE to. Get a 4in Dynomax bullet on there. :D

Well i wanna conect it up to my catback. The H/X is really useless, since the gasses have already mixed. I may try to get some pipes fabbed up to just conect from the y to thecatback. Then again the shorty h pipes are damn cheap, maybe i can find one used..

i Hear ya dave... That damn turbomustangs.com got me hooked. When i bought the s-trim, i tried to never go to that site cause i knew reading on there would change my mind.. This should be the last power adder i ever buy for this car, so its a good purchase. I can always up grade the turbo if need be, but i doubt i will ever make that much power. I just wanna have a nice low 11 second street car, and most importantly i wanna enjoy the car.

dave, didnt you say you cut your h/x pipe to fityour longtubes? How did that work out?
I paid a muffler shop to do it for me. Cost me $90 to have the Magnaflow catted H-pipe cut to fit the LT's, and also to have the Dr. Gas X-pipe fit, cut, and welded up.

So, anyone want to buy some S-trim brackets? J/K :D

Sick Jesse, just sick. I hear you the turbomustang.com site... over there 700rwhp seems like childs play!!!

Did you get a turbo with the kit you bought off the guy?

The turbo the guy had was a t-76 (1100 hp) which is obviously way over kill,. He knocked 800 off the price.. So like i said in my first post i ordered a pt61 which should suite my needs perfectly. Plus the turbo is new for piece of mind.

Your right about the 700hp thing lol. its funny going over there from here, such a difference. Stangnet 94/95 room is still the best though.

Dave, how did they roll the end of the pipe to make the flange work? Thats the only part i dont get..

They didn't -- the ends are the original pieces, cut off at about 3" and re-welded. Although I'd expect that they could roll the ends if they had to, they seemed to have a lot of equipment for doing this kind of stuff.
