I saw the black one yesterday. That poor car. It would be nice to have a real saleen fox, but IMO 6000 is too much for a car i'd have to take apart and redo.

Oh, and his speedo i think is way the hell off.
with:
26.0 tall tire (25.5 is 3mph slower)
.68 overdrive gear
3.55's in the back
at 4000 rpm like the pic says, he'd be going 128mph. NOT 150mph.

Not 100% sure but should be close.

I was wondering about how fast "that ape" was too. From what was just reported about the speedo being off, I guess that ape he was using for comparison is a little on the slow side.

I didn't even realize that the speedo said 160 lol. I thought it was 150 which is bad enough.

160 is 5000 rpm.

He has a stock speed density mustang, with no mods.

And in the ad, he says someone should rip that half assed saleen decal off the rear bumper, um, that takes like 2 minutes, why didn't he just do it?

Well, I won the auction for the 03 car. Turns out it is a HH car with every option that was offered. SC, wheel and tire upgrade, recaros, brakes, etc...Now someone please take this 95 R-model off my hands! I need the cash for this new toy!

I knew you could do it. If you get that "R" model as complete as possible, I don't see any reason you can't sell it for what you want.

Its tough trying to seel them right now. If it was a S-351 it would have sold a long time ago. It's the last time I spend that much money on one! I should have the R-model on the road in a week or two. I may end up keeping it and driving it if no one takes it off my hands. I just hate to have that many project going at once.

That Red Saleen is about 10 minutes from where I live. The guy also had a '90 coupe for sale as well as a '92 or '93 yellow convertable. I could probably find out a little history of the car if I asked around.

Honestly I don't know where it came from. I have heard that chic has a site. I got some kid to hook me up with the avatar with the "I Love Saleens". I told him I want a hot chic with hooters or a bootie and the quote on it.

that's easy.

I'm sure the original owner ( if it was the same owner when it was stolen ) bought it new, just find out from the carfax what town or county it's from and go to the P.D. with the title proving you are the new owner. You can request a copy of the police report and maybe even find the owner, unless you already know him/her.

I may do that. The only issues for me is getting to North Carolina to do that. I also have to get the title cleared up first. I have been looking around for a wrecked 03 Cobra and haven't found one that fit what I wanted. I also found out this car didn't have the brake upgrade! I guess I will have to change that. I hate stock brakes. Love the Alcon's! I will be doing some more tuning on the Animal this weekend. I have had the timing retarded just about as much as I can and it still run ok. I'm going to advance it a few degrees and play with the computer to see if I can pull a little more power from her! Of course I get stuck shelling out $7 a gallon for C16 race gas!

I live in the same county as the car is in. If you tell me how to go about requesting a police report I will get one for you. I live 1 mile from the police and sheriffs station in town. I would have no trouble if I can get one.
