I guess he's off the hook for telling tall tales about an 8500rpm 306 (with an edlebrock intake that stops breathing past 6500rpm) !!
If you check the specs below, you'll notice that he has.......a "V Style Engine". I'm not too sure but I think that ford hasn't made an inline 8 cylinder in a looong time.

I can see it happening if it was stroked maybe, but not a 302. Like i said previous, if he could open it all up enough and wind it out to 8 grand, maybe, but how are you gonna do that without sinking more money on the motor than just the bid is going for?
