The car is a bone stock 94 cobra, my g/f said it was idling high. I havent seen or driven it yet so not sure whats wrong. Im gonna listen and spray carb cleaner for a vacuum leak, if not that then ill try the 10 pin mod and if not that im guessing the tps sensor.

Now to the real question, how do i test the tps sensor. What #'s are normal etc.. Are they the same from 89-94 i have a stock intake and trick flow intake both w/ stock tb's and sensors i could try if their the same. Thanks alot

As I understand it, 94/95's don't have a ten pin connector like the Fox bodies do. I've not heard of anything in the wiring harness for a 94/95 becoming a regular problem like that, either.

As for the TPS sensor, it's not adjustable on a 94/95 -- the EEC baselines the voltage when you turn the key. If it is out of whack enough to cause problems, it *should* throw a MIL. I'm not sure if physically the design is the same as on a Fox body, but I doubt it.

I would start by cleaning the throttle body, MAF, and IAC. Then pull codes just to make sure it isn't something obvious .
