If you need a $10,000 motor to keep up with an LS1 car you are in DIRE need of a good mechanic.
I think he was referring to getting all the perks the LSx swap offers, like aluminum block, 6-speed, 450 rwhp NA, etc...
A 302 with minimal mods could keep up with a stock LS1 car, but tossing a cammed LSx motor and 6-speed into a fox, your getting all those perks of that combo, in the chassis of the fox. Cheap and easy to have all those things.
