I pulled the heads on my 302 and No. 8 looks like it has lots of surface chips on it. Not into the piston but on the surface, the other 7 has a even thin carbon layer, not built up. Am I having detonation problems because of fuel or something???
Chiped pistons surface, what caused it?

OS: I think I know what it was, considering I had just had my upper intake off before the last time I ran it and I was missing a nut, I thought I heard it hit the ground but couldn't find it, maby not.
