Where's the best place to run 12v for an electric choke? The stator wire off the alternator? What color is this wire on a '65?

Thanks,

Not sure on 65,
But I ran mine to the backup light connector on the engine loom.
Get 12v key on.

Be careful when hooking it up to the alternator, i did that once and connected it to the wrong one Ended up being hot all the time and drained my battery

I've always hooked electric chokes up using an oil pressure switch. That way they are only hot during start or when the engine is actually running.
