After my stang's idle has been fluctuating ever since i got it and just got worse with the new cobra intake i finally ran a code...

Code 33 - Canister or EGR valve control system not operating/opening properly

What does this mean, and does it make sence?

Also how do i go about fixing this?

And is the EGR valve that rust thing thats connected to the upper intake manifold?

Yes the EGR valve is the "rust" thing...could be a lot of things....no real sure on how to trouble shoot....i would personally remove the egr system....but thats just me...if thats what you want do you can just search EGR and find many things on how to fix it and take it off.

The 94-95 computers don't have 2 digit codes. Ours are ONLY 3 digits.

You probably read the codes wrong, and got 1-1-1, 1-1-1. Which means everything is hunky dory.

Of course, everything isn't hunky dory, but the computer thinks so. Have you cleaned your MAF/IAT sensors? Have you checked your plugs/cap/rotor?

If you don't know how to remove the MAF sensor out of the housing, do a search on here. Oh, wait, here is the link. Go to step 6, and that will show you how to remove the MAF and clean it.

yea i did get a 1-1-1, 1-1-1, i thought that was code 33... but whatever is wrong with my car is getting worse, every time i come to a stop the car idles crappy then it shuts off, every time now.

Yea...what he said..then after youve cleaned everything....then try running codes again after driving it a little. Then if that doesnt fix it get out the old digital volt meter and start checking voltage output and ohms on your sensors...good luck

My past experience might be of some help to ya...
1 - try cleaning the MAF
2 - i took out my IAC and juss cleaned that sucker .... sooo much gunk (that was the perp to my idle issues)
3 - make sure there are no leaks in your induction path
4 - check your ignition system
5 - what your trying to avoid if everything else doesnt come out ok... replacing that EGR valve which i might have one for ya ... gotta check if i still have it.. pm more if you need it
