Jose came by and we got this thing on. Dont have any REALLY good pics, since it was dark and lighting was bad. Only a couple of minor probs:

1. Had to use a 4ga cable (which I bought from them) since the alt is 160A.
2. Was too long, so had to adjust a little.
3. Chrome Pulley on alternator is smaller...Made my belt seem to big, and belt started riding off. I kept my other chrome alt pulley, and I dont have an impact gun, but my air wrench provides 50lbs tq, which was enough to break the the bolt loose. Swapped pulleys, and it seems to work now.

Just started the car a bit for about 10 minutes and drove it down the street.

These are the best pics I could get now, and believe me they dont do this alternator justice (ask Jose) If you look closely at the second pic, you can see the reflection of the SP wires in the alternator. That silvery piece (vent) is what is usually black on the stock ones. Jose and I thought it might be cool to paint that part red.!!
Thanks
RC

Looks good. I now realize how your spark plug wires are so straight and organized.

Funny you say that..

In the dark garage with a spot light..the usually nice polished Vortech and Intake looks like A$$!...Looks like they are white because of the lighting. Makes you realize the difference b/t polished and chrome.

I need to clean it up a little from the work first, then get it out in the daylight to take a couple of pics.

Thanks

pretty nice, RC, why did you choose a chrome peace instead of a polished one?

also does the 160A show a difference in you voltage?

I was inspired by RiffRaff

This is what that company sells, and I think it's better not to have to repolish that particular piece because of the particles getting into the inside.

My voltage reads dead center in the worn NORMAL on the gauge, but it's the ability to be able to run more equipment if I want to upgrade the stereo or put a better alarm.

Looks SWEET! That makes my polished one look dirty, old and dull. Now you have to chrome everything to make it match the Alt.

Covers are GREAT...NOT a drop of oil has come from that area. If I get a spray of oil from the dipstick (not common) I can see the spot(s) really easily.
I may paint the base of the PS reservoir (under chrome sleeve-3rd pic) black since that plastic is all yellowy!
