I have a white 2000 gt with 18x9.5 cobra R's(silver) I was thinking of getting them chrome plated, always liked chrome. Does anybody have any experience with the plating process? Also how much would it cost? Think pearl white and chrome would look good?

If you're gonna have them chromed I believe that they'll need to be etched as well. How about powdercoating them to match the paint on the car instead?

Chrome plating wheels is pretty expensive

You would be better off selling your wheels and buying new ones already chromed. Getting wheels chrome dipped is too pricey unless the wheels you want chromed do not already come that way.

And to answer your opionion ?... I don't normally like chrome wheels on white cars becuase you have to keep the car immaculate all the time. you let the paint get even a little dusty or the wheels get water-spots/brake dust, and it just kills the looks of the car. Personally I think plain silver wheels look way tougher on white cars.
