clanking noise at idle

ive been getting a sparatic clanking noise while my gt idles. this happens every time the car is sitting idleing. i didnt think it was a major concern so i never posted about it.

it started after my cams heads and l/t so i thought it was just the mods shaking things around. it feels drivetrain related. noise sounds like it is comming from the shifter. also seems more notchy to shift lately.

i also noticed when i hear the clank i can feel it when my foot is pressing the brakes.

what do you guys think. could this be tanny mounts or somthing like that?

I would guess it's the longtubes rattling **** around under there. Maybe once they get hot, stuff around them loosens up or something and starts to move..

well, they dont have to be hot for it to happen. it starts happening as soon as i start the car and let idle. its not a timed clank just once every couple pulses of the exhaust. i thought it was the headers hitting the underbody of the car cause its close on the pass side but i would think that would be a more timed clank.

i dont feel anything in the break or hear anything while on the gas driving. just hear and feel at idel. any other ideas? it could be the headers, i dont know.

is that how a rod knock sounds? i never heard one. would i feel a rod knock through a depressed break pedel?
