I'm currently finishing my suspension swap. I'm upgrading my Bullitt to:

- Bilstein HD shocks & struts
- H&R Race Springs
- Pro3i LCAs
- Steeda HD UCAs
- GRC Subframes
- KB jacking rails & matrix braces
- Urethane Spring Isolators
- Urethane front sway bushings

Do I need to keep my Quad Shocks on the car? Will they still be effective?

I recall reading a couple of posts somewhere that if upgrading to Bilsteins, you really don't need to keep your Quad Shocks?

Has anyone ditched their Quad Shocks? Any negatively noticable difference?

With a good quality set of LCA's, you generally no longer need the quad shocks.

They cant hurt anything, I would leave them on.

Actually this isn't true. Quads tend to have high friction levels and restrict the rear from operating as it should, nice and freely. It feels like suspension bind.

Removing them and the mounting plates saves over 5# off of the rear, and frees it up.

This is definitly not good information.

My car was lowered for about one year. My quad shocks were definitly shot and cuasing me some very bad wheel hop. I took the quad shocks out when I got some Maximum motorsport LCA's. The quad shocks were so bad that i could barely push them down when i stepped on them.

If you get some good LCA's you wont need the quad shocks at all

When I pulled my quad shocks off I noticed a big difference in the suspension. I could actually feel it moving like it should.
