Classic Insurance

No not close to stock. I just put FITech fuel injection on it. Got a T5 to drop in. Doing the seat upholstery soon. Just had shoulder surgery earlier this year so FI was the safest thing for me to do to it. I have been toying with the idea of selling it to get a nice foxbody.

No, unfortunately there is a reason it is so cheap. Limited miles, must not be your only registered car , must be garaged if I remember right. I'm sure more I can't remember.

Sounds about right. Not sure of the mileage restriction on my policy, but I've only done 400 miles since I get insured under Haggerty.

They require garage, but never actually verified this somehow.

One of the major collector insurers required your other registered car be no older than 5 years. No beaters allowed.

Hagerty made me send them pics of my car with at least one in the garage.

I have American Collectors on my Fox, they change the value every year and I think they had it set around $13500 or so this year and I get to use it for pleasure drives.

I have Grundy for the Fox and Caddy. Have 12k on fox and 20k on caddy and think I pay around $380... I had to send pics of the garage storage for both cars and a pic of a daily driver for every licences driver in the house. They would not insure my 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata that I autocross.....

I'm bumping this thread back up. Just signed with Hagerty, $608/year. $15k agreed value, can drive to work 'occasionally' as the website says. Also has better coverage than my other vehicles through my regular insurance provider.

The only down side is I had to pay it in a lump sum today :(

I'm glad this popped up, I've been thinking about getting rid of Progressive for my fox and getting classic insurance instead.

I just got a quote from Hagerty, about 2X my current Grundy premium which could increase, policy is renewed Jan 1st. Renewal will show up in about a month. In 5 years, premium has increased about $50.
They only insure vehicles 25 years old or older, but there are some exceptions. I asked them what was the maximum insured value without an appraisal. They said $16k with $1k deductible. There are no mileage restrictions but it can't be your DD. I think I had to send them some pics, but that's all.
It could be different since they split from Philadelphia Insurance Co.

I have a 2k mileage restriction on my policy with haggerty. Their policies are a bit customizable.

I also like their haggerty plus program which is free towing up to 15 miles for 35bucks. They have different levels with more miles but I think 99.9% of my cruising is within 10 miles of home. Work is 14 miles away.
