I have my 347 running in a 69 and have some codes. The first was a
31-EGR . I don't have one. I been told there is a faker to fool the computer.

67- Clutch ?
81,82,84,85. I have looked most up but still don't know. Which of these codes will affect the engine idle. The top end of the motor is all Trick Flow and the wiring harness is from painless. The moter run good but not great especially at idle. One other question was the smell of raw fuel after it ran. There are no leaks anywhere.
Thanks

I had a 66 with efi.

67: Park/Neutral circuit fault - PNP
wont cause idle issues

81 smog code not biggie if smog stuff is not there.
82 smog also
84 is egr related you can unplug the egr and as long as the valve is sealed closed its not an issue.
85 is your charcole canister purge valve its prolly gone too its a smog related issue,

None of those codes should cause problems.

first off I would make sure you do not have any vacume leaks.
then I would Check/set the tps voltage:
http://www.50tech.com/articles/display_article.php?catid=9&id=10 ,

Set the base idle:
http://www.50tech.com/articles/display_article.php?catid=8&id=4and clean your IAC.

then reset the eec

What is your fuel press set at and what injectors you have installed. Is it mass air or Speed Density.

Thanks for the links. I'm running a the stock fuel rail with the regulator. The injectors are 30 lb Ford racing and the setup is mass air. The computer is used and is A9l. I'll work on the other problems tomorrow.
Thanks Chris

I would check the fuel press and see where its at. I had a stock regualter on my 66 and it was at 55 psi. I had to use an adjustable reg to get it down some.
Too much fule at idel will cause bad idle and the raw fule smell you mentioned. good Luck and keep us posted.
