There's no prerequisite. It just needs to contain the necessary elements. Those can be found in the top forums for each section (S550 for instance).

Where did you try an post a new topic? Give me the link to the webpage.

Also... If you created a new ad that doesn't have the required items, they get removed.

Required items are:

Price
Location (city, state)
Description (applicable model year)
Asking price
and pictures of the actual item (not some stock picture from a website).

Usually, they will get moved if it's just in the wrong place, so long as it contains the required elements for the destination forum.

You've probably noticed that there aren't any. The only real requirement for the WTB forum is that it is clear as to what it is you're looking for. The title "should" reflect the name of the item you're looking for but we don't delete them if they do not. Now, if you posted any kind of an ad within a discussion forum, they get nuked. The individual forum moderators generally take care of those but how, is at their discretion.

I mean I can understand the location
But if I put I'm looking for something. I'm not going to have a price unless you wanting, what I'm willing to pay. Probably not gonna have a picture either. What if I'm looking for a general item produced by a few different company's not all of them are going to be valued the same.

You don't need a price for the WTB forum. I'll show you the difference:

Look at the top thread in this forum:

http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/forums/s550-mustangs-for-sale-2015.346/

It tells you what the minimum is. There is no such post in the WTB sections.
There is also an announcement window in each of the FOR SALE forums. The announcement indicates what is required as well. There is no such announcement in the WTB forums.

WTB threads don't require pictures or prices or the other things that FOR SALE ads do.

If you posted a WTB thread in a discussion forum however...

Aha... I see what the problem is:

You cannot create a classifieds ad on Stangnet through Tapatalk. You can read and respond but not create.

Log in to your account through mobile FF or Chrome. Better yet, do it from a computer.

That one has never come up before so thanks for asking about it. I don't think that I have that written anywhere. I'll add it to the announcement that comes up at the top of the screen in the classifieds section.

I should have seen it in your signature but I get used to "auto-ignoring" those messages. This would have been a much shorter conversation if I had actually seen/noticed/paidanyattentionatallto:
