Spray down the surface in a 2 foot area, with the stuff that comes with the bar. Rub the bar over the paint, until you feel the paint smooth. Wipe off the liquid from the paint, and wax it. I found a meguires kit that worked great on my 'stang.

just gentle pressure, if any is all you need. Rub the clay in a circular pattern over the wet area. If the spots don't come off, you will need to either buff the car yourself, or have someone else do it. I recommend having someone do it for you, as you can burn through the paint pretty quickly when buffing.

its gonna look sweet, the clay bar removes all the old wax, and any contaminates in the paint, and she will shine like brand new.

the maguires clay bar sucks imo. If you want to spend the extra money get the zaino clay bars. They work really well and dont leave streaks of clay on the car.

1. Wash and dry car
2. spray quick detailer that comes with clay on section to be worked
3. rub clay bar back and forth no hard pressure needed you will see once you start using it and be able to tell when it is time to move to the next section. Keep the area wet with the spray detailer where you are working it acts as a lube for the clay
4. Wash and dry car
5. Wax Car
6. Take pics of sparkling car while enjoying a cold beer
7. Post pics.
Have fun, i had a black car and the clay bar worked wonders takes time but was well worth it. Dan

The most important step there is #7. Keep in mind that if you don't completely follow that step, your paint will peel off within 24 hours.

What other lubricant can you use w/the clay bar?
Whats in the stuff they sell along w/the clay bar?
How about using plain old water w/some mild soap?

You can use soap & water for lubricant.
Usually some spray shine.
Yes.

If you really want to get all the old wax off & start over, use Dawn dishwash soap. Clay bar after wash with Dawn.
