How do you clean this? It says do not oil. What do you clean it with, and is there anything that goes on it (like oil)?

It says not to oil the filter on it??? I thought all K&N type filters get oil after cleaning. They normally make a recharge kit that has a cleaner and an oil spray can to apply after.. Ive always just used some water with a few drops of dawn soap and cleaned it.. then used the red air filter oil. Just make sure you let it air dry befor applying oil.. and dont use an air compressor to dry it out. It can actually blow the fabric out.

NOOOOO, do not apply oil to those filters. It is NOT a K&N type, it is gauze!! Just wash it out and let it dry. If you apply oil it will go through the filter and mess up the MAF element.

heh... I just checked mine.. its a K&N filter and I must have changed it out a while back im guessing.. it was red with oil when I bought it. Isnt the K&N a guaze type material also? Its been so long since I bought my Pro M I dont remember what the original filter looked like.

The Pro-M's dont come w/ K&N Filters on them but if you buy one used who says that the previous owner did not change it out since K&N does make filters to fit almost all applications.

Ummm...my Pro-M 77 MAF has a K&N filter and I used the recharge kit to clean it and used that oil stuff.

I sure hope that was ok.
