Hate to do this but I cleaned out my shop somewhat yesterday of a bunch of stuff I don't need and can't seem to sell. One D8VE shortblock, with a set of E6SE heads, bored 20 over crank is 10/10 and has grooves in it at that. Two 390 bare blocks, one's std, the other 40 over. The std one has deep pits from rust in two cylinders, and after measuring the gap between the cylinders through the freeze plugs, it's iffy on a 30 overbore, don't think that's gonna clean up the pits. Also a 4.6 SOHC motor and trans from a 96 Crown Vic cop car. Three other transmissions, a C-5, two FE C-6's, one has a busted bellhousing. Numerous waterpump cores, four FE heads that have had the exhuast bolt holes butchered . And a bunch of alternator cores, brake drums, etc. I guess all of it will end up in the scrap yard today. Hate to do this but ain't got room for all of it. Had a guy give me another FE motor too yesterday.

Got some of that stuff too............ One complete 351C CJ short block. Std bore, never been touched since it left Ford in 72. Even has the original timing set. As for Windsors, got a 72 block , crank, and rods.

man i wish i had a plce to keep the 4.6, my plan for my daughters first car is to build her a big body vert and use the 4.6 engine in it, which i think will fit without having remove or to modfiy the shock towers, at least not much anyway :damnit:

Well the 4.6 went to the scrap yard, no one around here wants the damned things, myself included. The transmissions went to a trans rebuild shop. The two 390 blocks and one crank went to an engine rebuild/machine shop. What I thought would net me $50 at best ended up netting me $160. Still to sell: one 72 351W block, crank, and rods. One std bore , std crank unrebuilt 72 351C shortblock plus the accessory brackets, 2 mismatched 2 bbl C heads. One D8VE thick walled 302 block. ( this one will take a 60 overbore) plus the 20 over cast flat tops and rods from same. Two std/std 390 cranks. Two 5.0 cranks, one is 10/10, the other std/std. One low miles ( less than 500) 390 short block consisting of a C7ME-A block, std 390 rods, C4AE cast 427 crank, 60 over cast, dished pistons. One C4AE 390 block, one set new Silvolite 390 flat tops, 60 over ( bought for the C4AE block) a freshly turned C4AE 427 crank ( 10/10) and rods for same. Soon to come another 360/390 FE motor ( complete) have to get this one to see what's in it. Any takers? No REASONABLE offers refused.

Yes, that is one of jobs that you hate to do...................the bright side is that you free up space to again put the same stuff, just from different sources.

Like you, I had accumulated a bunch of car stuff at my second house. I sold the house during my divorce and kept some things, (down sizing to a condo), but didn't have to throw away anything as the buyer was a gearhead too and wanted all that "junk".

Boy, you nailed that on the head Hopefully I won't end up with so many useless automatic tranmissions as before. Ended up selling one complete but busted bellhousing FE C-6 to the scrap yard along with the extra core C-6 for the same that I'd picked up at that same yard three years ago. Think I made a small profit on that one Scrap prices have gone way up since I bought it, plus I'd sold a part out of it to a guy on the FE bigblock forum.

I just sold a 67 289 complete with original heads and factory 4V manifold, 2 distributors, 3 carbs, a C4 and a 8-inch with good drum-brakes and a driveshaft for $200.

As was said, at some point you forget about the money and just want the space back
